THE STORY SO FAR OF
BEDFORD TOWN RESERVES.
The Reserves team has acted as a feeder team for Bedford Town 1st team and over the years several players have progressed through the ranks and into the 1st team.
- 2002 - 2003 Season saw Bedford Town Reserves became an established team in the Capital League. Within this league the Reserves were tested against the best reserve sides from the non-league pyramid.
- 2003 - 2004 Season saw Bedford Town Reserves play in the UCL football league where they finished a respectable 5th place in thier first and only season in the league. As well as this they won the Beds, Intermediate Cup on penalties after a hard game against Westoning Recreational Club.
- 2004 - 2005 Season Bedford Town Reserves finished second place behind Brache Sparta in thier fist year in the County Reserves League
- 2005 - 2006 Season the Reserves go one better and finished in 1st place as well as gaining a cup final victory over Ampthill Town Reserves in the County Reserve League Cup.
- 2006 - 2007 Season saw The Reserves surpass thier previous season double by completing a treble. Not only did they retain the league and cup double from the County Reserve League they also went onto beat Heath & Reach 3 - 1 in the Beds, Intermediate Cup final.
- 2007 - 2008 Season has seen Bedford Town Reserves jump sevaral steps in the football pyramid and they will now be competing in the Spartan South Midlands Football League Division One.
The 2008 - 09 fourth coming season looks set to be another competitive and exciting year for every on involved with Bedford Town Reserves.
The 2006 - 07 season went well for Bedford Town Reserves as they pulled off a treble. First gaining victory away to Wootton Blue Cross 0 - 4 gave Bedford town Reserves the Bedfordshire County Reserve League title. Secondly a victory over Heath & Reach 3 - 1at Kempston Rovers ground gave Bedford Town Reserves the Beds Intermediate Cup. Thirdly in a tough battle of the titans a victory over Brache Sparta Reserves 6 - 4 in Extra Time at Cranfield United’s ground gave Bedford Town Reserves the League Cup.
